Logic analyser: select a wire, then select "Watch".

How to use the editor

Build a circuit

  1. Select a part in the list on the left. Move the pointer onto the drawing and click to put the part down.
  2. Select Wire (key W). Click a pin to start. Click to add a bend. Click a pin or a wire to end the wire. Press Esc to stop.
  3. A net label joins all points that have the same name. Use VCC and GND labels to tie unused inputs.
  4. Drag a part to move it. Wires on its pins move with it. Press R to rotate. Press Delete to remove.
  5. Chip power pins (VCC and GND) are not drawn. They join the power rails automatically.

Run a circuit

  1. Select Run. The editor locks. Click a switch to change it. Hold a push button to press it.
  2. Wire colours: bright green is 1, dark green is 0, grey is Z (no driver), red is X (unknown or conflict).
  3. Select a wire and then Watch to show its signal in the logic analyser.
  4. Warnings show faults: unconnected or floating inputs, two outputs in conflict, missing power, setup and hold time errors.
  5. Select Reset to stop and edit again.

Custom chips

  1. Type a name under Custom chips and select New chip. The chip opens as a draft.
  2. Put Ports on the draft. Each port is one pin of the chip: give it a name, a direction and a pin number.
  3. Select Save version. A change to the pins makes a new major version (2.0). A change inside only makes a minor version (1.1). A saved version never changes.
  4. A placed chip stays on its version. Select the chip and choose another version to move it.

The editor saves the project in this browser after each change. Use Save file to keep a copy.
